Reunited at last: Noynoy to be laid to rest beside parents

Former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III will be laid to rest beside his parents at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City Saturday (June 26).

A mass will be held at the Church of the Gesu in the Ateneo de Manila University at 10 a.m. It will be presided over by Archbishop Socrates Villegas.

Aquino’s urn will leave ADMU immediately after the mass for Manila Memorial Park. The convoy shall proceed via C5 to SLEX, leading to the former President’s final resting place.

A tombstone with Aquino’s nickname, “Noynoy,” is already placed at the tomb ahead of the inurnment. It also bears his birthday and date of death.

According to the advisory for the inurnment, those who wish to pay their final respects to Aquino along the convoy’s route are asked to observe proper health protocols.

Aquino died on June 24 in his home in Quezon City due to renal disease secondary to diabetes. He was 61.
