‘Biggest endorser’: Duterte to appear in a new vaccine ad

President Rodrigo Duterte will appear in a new infomercial to encourage the Filipino people to have themselves vaccinated against Covid-19, Malacañang said.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the government would not stop motivating people to get vaccinated until it builds confidence and reduces vaccine hesitancy among them.

“Tataas ang kumpiyansa ng mga Pilipino sa bakuna kapag nakita nila iyong kanilang mga kapitbahay na nabakunahan na. So iyan po ang nangyayari ngayon, bagama’t hindi po tayo titigil,” Roque said during his televised briefing Thursday.

“At sa Lunes nga po, iti-tape natin si Presidente dahil siya po iyong biggest endorser natin para doon sa bagong infomercial na hinahanda po ng Office of the Presidential Spokesperson,” he added.

Last month, Duterte also appeared in a two-minute advertisement, inviting the public to receive the Covid-19 jab.

“I invite all our kababayans to be vaccinated at the earliest possible opportunity because this is the most, if not the only, effective way to defeat Covid-19 pandemic,” the country’s chief executive said.
