Duterte condoles with families of Sulu crash victims

President Rodrigo Duterte condoled with the families of those who died after a Philippine Air Force plane crashed in Patikul, Sulu province, Malacañang said.

In his televised briefing Monday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the whole nation mourns the death of dozens of soldiers and civilians in the military plane crash last Sunday.

“Nagpapaabot po ng pakikiramay si Presidente Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa pamilya ng mga nasawi ng bumagsak na C-130 sa Sulu,” said Roque.

“Nagluluksa hindi lang ang Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas, ngunit ang buong bansa sa malungkot na pangyayaring ito,” according to him.

“Nananalangin po kami na yakapin ng Panginoon ang mga nagdadalamhating pamilya para maibsan kahit paano ang kanilang nararamdaman at nawa’y mabigyan sila ng lakas para malampasan ang pagsubok nito,” he added.

Roque said the Palace also prays for the quick recovery of those who survived the tragic accident.

“Pinagdarasal din natin ang mabilis na paggaling ng mga survivors. Nag-utos na po si (Defense) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana ng isang imbestigasyon para matukoy ang dahilan ng insidenteng ito,” he also said.
