President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday expressed gratitude to the country’s health experts for supporting the government’s Covid-19 response.
“My papasalamat. Utang na loob ko sa inyo na tinutulungan niyo kami lalo na ‘yung mga experts, doctors, or scientists,” Duterte said during a Cabinet briefing.
As of July 24, the Philippines has logged 1,543,281 confirmed cases of Covid-19.
A total of 1,461,749 have recovered and 27,131 have died since the pandemic in March last year.
