NCR, 4 other provinces placed under GCQ with heightened restrictions until July 31

President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to place the National Capital Region under general community quarantine (GCQ) “with heightened restrictions” from July 23 to 31, Malacañang announced Friday.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Davao De Oro, and Davao del Norte will also be under GCQ with heightened restrictions.

“Inaprubahan po ng ating presidente ang rekomendasyon ng inyong IATF na ipasailalim ang National Capital Region at apat pang probinsya sa ilalim ng GCQ with heightened restrictions. Ito po ay mula July 23, 2021 hanggang July 31, 2021,” said Roque.

“Nasa ilalim din po ng GCQ with heightened restrictions ang mga probinsiya ng Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur na dati rati po ay nasa (modified) GCQ. Galing naman po sa (modified enhanced community quarantine), Davao De Oro and Davao del Norte ay mapapasailalim po sa GCQ with heightened restrictions,” he added.

Davao del Sur, on the other hand, has been placed under GCQ.
