Malacañang on Tuesday wished Senator Manny Pacquiao “good luck” ahead of his boxing match against Errol Spence Jr in August.
“We wish all Filipinos the best of luck in whatever they do best,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque in a virtual presser held in Pampanga said.
“Pagdating po kay Manny Pacquiao, he’s best in the boxing ring and probably not as good elsewhere,” added Roque.
Last week, President Rodrigo Duterte called the boxer-turned-senator a “sh*t” and a “goner” after the latter said that corruption has worsened during the present administration.
Pacquiao should focus on his work in Congress and prove his corruption allegations against several government agencies, said Duterte.
