Ahead of the 2022 elections, a large billboard promoting a Cabinet Secretary has been installed along a major road in Metro Manila.
A photo of Atty. Salvador Panelo’s billboard was shared on Twitter by musician Jim Paredes. “Along Katipunan near ADMU,” Paredes captioned the billboard photo.
Panelo currently serves as the President’s chief legal counsel. Duterte earlier backed Panelo’s senatorial bid, saying he admired his intelligence and good work ethic.
The large advertisement space shows the image of “Sec Sal Panelo” and his message on following health protocols during the pandemic.
“Panalo Tayo ‘Pag May Pagbabago,” the billboard read. It included tips to wash hands, wear a face mask and shield.
When asked by the President if he was running, Panelo said he would rather “walk” than run for senator in next year’s elections.
