Panelo wants P10,000 monthly gov’t allowance for Pinoy mothers

Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo is pushing for a monthly allowance of P10,000 to all mothers in the Philippines.

During his recent commentary show “Counterpoint,” Panelo hoped that a measure granting cash allowance to all Filipino mothers, regardless of civil or employment status, will be filed in Congress.

“Ano ba ‘yung bigyan natin ng P10,000 na regular allowance ang mga ina ng tahanan. Oh eh di meron silang paglalaanan kung anuman ang gagastusin nila,” according to him.

He lamented that some mothers suffer from depression due to financial constraints.

“‘Yung iba diyan, nagsu-suicide pa dahil walang mapagkukunan ng pera, walang mapag-utangan,” said Panelo.

“Kung meron ho silang allowance buwan-buwan na tatanggapin sa gobyerno, oh eh di medyo kumportable, hindi na sila mag-iisip, ‘di ba?” the abogado added.
