The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has allowed the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) to start its 46th season.
On Friday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that the IATF has approved the request of the PBA to proceed with the league’s 46th season today, July 16.
“The Inter-Agency Task Force on Thursday, July 15, 2021, approved the request of the Philippine Basketball Association to restart their 46th season,” Roque said in a statement.
The Task Force directed the PBA to ensure strict compliance to health and safety protocols set by Games and Amusement Board.
Meanwhile, Roque said the national government has also given the Philippine National Volleyball Federation the green light to host the 21st Asian Seniors Women’s Volleyball Championship following health and safety protocols.
The IATF likewise approved the request of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict to conduct a nationwide Bike for Peace and Justice in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) and modified GCQ.
