San Juan City has vaccinated 100% of target population vs Covid-19: Roque

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced on Monday that San Juan City has vaccinated 100 percent of its target population.

“Isang daang porsyento na po ng target population ng lungsod ng San Juan ang nabakunahan na. Katumbas ito ng 70 percent ng city’s population inoculated with the first dose,” Roque said in a virtual presser held in San Juan City.

The Palace official said that 96,610 of the city’s 123,000 population have received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

“Kinakailangan lang po tuluyan tayong magwagi… Tuluyan po tayong magwawagi kung makukumpleto po natin ang second dose ng mga taga-San Juan,” according to him.

The first local transmission of Covid-19 was recorded in San Juan City in March last year.

“Kung dito nagsimula ang community transmission ng bwisit na COVID na yan, dito rin natin tatapusin sa San Juan,” said Roque.

“Nagpapasalamat po kami sa frontliners. Nagpapasalamat po kami sa mga tianggero, tianggera, nagpabakuna. Nagpapasalamat po tayo sa ating Pangulo,” he added.
