Sara, Go can easily win 2022 presidential election: Panelo

For Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio or Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go is a shoo-in for the presidency.

“Yung mga gustong tumakbong presidente, wala kayong laban kayong Mayor Sara, kahit kay Senador Christopher ‘Bong’ Go,” Panelo, in his commentary show “Counterpoint,” said.

The abogado said it would be “game over” should one of them decide to run for president with President Rodrigo Duterte as running mate.

“’Pag ‘yan ang tumakbo at bise presidente si Presidente Duterte, game over. Wala na ‘yan. Tapos na ho ‘yan. Maniwala kayo sa akin,” according to him.

Duterte-Carpio earlier said she was now “open” to seeking the presidency in the 2022 national elections. The presidential daughter, however, said there were no final decision yet.

Go, on one hand, said he does not have any ambition to become president, which he described as a “thankless job.”
