Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque doesn’t think holding ceremonial vaccination events and inaugural rites for Covid-19 facilities is dangerous amid the rise of the Delta variant in the country.
There was nothing wrong in giving importance to milestones in the fight against Covid-19, Roque said during a government event held at SM City San Mateo marking the milestone of 30 million vaccinated Filipinos.
“We are very cognizant kung ano yung quarantine classification saka kami pupunta.
Taking note of this milestone, according to him, is a way of encouraging people to get vaccinated.
“We feel that this is part of effective government communication na magpabakuna ang lahat,” the Palace official added.
Roque likewise defended the conduct of opening rites for new Covid-19 facilities, saying the people need to know how public money is spent.
