Malacañang has appealed to residents in Metro Manila to heed the new policy that prohibits outdoor exercise amid the enhanced community quarantine in the capital region.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque advised people residing in Metro Manila to stay home during the ECQ to protect themselves against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
“Kapag sa tingin nila na importante na 10 days na lang naman ay sa bahay na muna tayo,” Roque said during yesterday’s televised briefing.
“Sumunod na po tayo,” he added.
The Metro Manila mayors earlier signed a resolution banning outdoor exercises until August 20 due to steady climb in Covid-19 cases.
