The first day of the distribution of cash assistance to low-income individuals in the National Capital Region (NCR), which is currently under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), was peaceful and orderly, Malacañang said.
Local government units in Metro Manila started yesterday the payout of financial aid to ECQ-affected families.
“Nagsimula na po ng pamimigay ng cash aid kahapon. Naging maayos at walang malaking aberya sa unang araw ng pamamahagi ng ayuda,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a virtual presser.
Beneficiaries are entitled to P1,000 each, with a maximum of P4,000 per family.
The ECQ status of NCR will last until August 20.
