Task Force to tackle next quarantine status later

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases will discuss the new quarantine classifications for Metro Manila and other areas this afternoon, Malacañang said Thursday.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said President Rodrigo Duterte may have a tentative address on August 20 to announce the new quarantine status.

“Pag-uusapan po mamayang hapon ng IATF ang quarantine classification,” Roque said during his televised briefing.

“Meron pong tentative na Talk to the People ang Pangulo sa Biyernes… I think we expect the President to announce it unless he gives authorization to have it announced earlier,” he added.

The enforcement of the enhanced community quarantine in the National Capital Region and the province of Laguna will end tomorrow, Friday.
