Free gadgets, prepaid phone load, negosyo package! Politikos launch Facebook giveaways ahead of 2022 polls

Tis the political season for giving.

Ahead of the 2022 elections, some politikos are getting creative to boost public awareness and grow the number of followers through their Facebook giveaways and games.

These politikos, including those planning to run for public office in next year’s polls, are giving away various prizes, from gadgets, prepaid mobile load to livelihood packages, on the popular social media platform.

Among those running Facebook contests are Senator Bong Revilla, former Senator Bongbong Marcos, former Senator Bongbong Revilla, former Senator Jinggoy Estrada, former JV Estrada, Senator Ralph Recto and wife Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos Recto, Antique Rep. Loren Legarda, and Quezon City 2nd District Councilor Winnie Castelo.

1. Senator Revilla and his son Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla keep a strong social media engagement with the help of Agimat giveaway. Jolo plans to join the congressional race in Cavite next year.

2. Legarda, rumored to run for senator next year, is offering free gadgets to lucky Facebook followers.

3. Free phone load and motorbike gear are among the prizes given by former Sen. Ejercito to lucky fans. The son of former President Joseph Estrada has yet to announce if he will run for senator or seek the mayoralty post in his San Juan hometown in next year’s elections.

4. Jinggoy’s followers have a chance to win prizes worth more than P100,000 every week. His online contest is called “Jing Flix with Kuya Jing.” The former senator is rumored to be eyeing reelection in the 2022 polls.

5. The camp of Recto power couple has lined up a number of online giveaways, from computers to lugaw/pares/mami packages. An online TikTok dance battle is also part of the social media programs of the pro-Recto group.

7. Castelo continues to look after his QC constituents, from launching online gadget raffle to personally giving away foo.d, medicines, and other aid.
