Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque is currently in New York, United States for the selection of members for the International Law Commission (ILC).
Roque, who made the confirmation during his televised briefing on Monday, is among the nominated members from the Asia-Pacific region that include Japan, China, South Korea, Thailand, Cyprus, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, and Lebanon.
Ano pong mandato nitong International Law Commission? Ito po’y tinatawag na codification of customary international law at progressive development ng international law,” he explained.
Roque reiterated that occupying a seat in the ILC would not be a full-time job.
