IATF to discuss planned vaccine rollout to 12-to-17-year-olds: Palace

Malacañang on Thursday said the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases will still discuss the proposed vaccination of children in October.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. has proposed to start the Covid-19 vaccination of minors aged 12 to 17 by mid-October.

“Ang naaalaa ko po, kahapon, ‘yan ang rekomendasyon ng ating vaccine czar na si Carlito Galvez,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said.

“At kung hindi po ako nagkakamali pag-uusapan ‘yan ng IATF,” he added.

Galvez preferred that minors with comorbidities and children of healthcare workers would be prioritized to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
