‘Iba ako sa kanila’: Pacquiao says he’s sincere about public service, not materialistic

Boxing champion and Senator Manny Pacquiao said his sincerity about changing the country and helping people sets him apart from other candidates for the presidential seat.

In an interview on Politiko’s Politiskoop on Friday, he said he’s different in a way that he is not a materialistic person and that the world’s riches are unimportant to him.

“Ang importante yung nagawa natin sa kapwa at na-accomplish natin, yung mga pangarap natin especially pagtulong, pag-unlad ng ating bansa,” Pacquiao said.

He added being an athlete, he can give his full effort and hard work to achieving a specific goal.

“Pag may pangarap po ako na gusto kong abutin talagang yung effort, yung hard work, yung dedication ko nandiyan more than 100 percent pa sabihin natin, at nandiyan with the guidance of God I think we can change a lot,” Pacquiao stated.
