Joey Concepcion wants 50% capacity of dining, personal care businesses in Q4 2021

By Prince Golez

Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion is pushing to increase operating capacity of personal care services and dine-in services for vaccinated individuals to 50 percent in the last quarter of 2021.

Businesses won’t survive if they continue to operate at 10 percent capacity, Concepcion said in an interview with Dobol B TV Sunday.

“Sana sa fourth quarter natin yung pinakamalakas dito Christmas, bandang October, November, at December, at least, sa tingin ko, mga 50 percent by that time. Tingnan natin yung infection level,” the official said.

“Pero ang pumapasok naman dito fully vaccinated naman sila, so pwede pa ‘yan itaas pa kasi ang fully vaccinated kung ma-infect sila hindi naman sila, at least there’s a maybe 15 percent chance lang na they will go to hospital,” he added.

Metro Manila is currently under Alert Level 4 until September 30.

At Alert Level 4, al-fresco dine-in services and personal care services are allowed to operate at a maximum of 30 percent capacity regardless of vaccination status.

Indoor dine-in services may also be allowed at a limited 10 percent venue/seating capacity, only for fully vaccinated individuals.
