The Philippines has included Grenada, Papua New Guinea, Serbia and Slovenia on its Covid-19 “red list” of high-risk countries, Malacañang said Friday.
This new classification will take effect on September 19 until September 30, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a press statement.
The government earlier placed Azerbaijan, Guadeloupe, Guam, Israel, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Saint Lucia, and Switzerland under the red list from September to September 18.
Countries on the red list are barred from entering the country.
Meanwhile, Roque said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases also updated the list of considered “green” countries/jurisdictions/ territories or “low-risk” for Covid-19.
These include the following:

-Djibouti
-Equatorial Guinea
-Falkland Islands (Malvinas)
-Gabon
-Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of China)

-Madagascar
-Mali
-Federated States of Micronesia
-Montserrat
-New Caledonia
-New Zealand
-Niger
-Northern Mariana Islands
-Palau
-Poland
-Saba (Special Municipality of the Kingdom of Netherlands)
-Saint Pierre and Miquelon
-Sierra Leone
-Sint Eustatius
-Taiwan
-Algeria
-Bhutan
-Cook Islands
-Eritrea
-Kiribati
-Marshall Islands
-Nauru
-Nicaragua
-Niue
-North Korea
-Saint Helena
-Samoa
-Solomon Islands
-Sudan
-Syria
-Tajikistan
-Tanzania
-Tokelau
-Tonga
-Turkmenistan
-Tuvalu
-Vanuatu; and
-Yemen.
“All other countries/territories/jurisdictions not mentioned are in the Yellow List,” said Roque.
Yellow list countries are those classified by the government’s Covid-19 task force as “moderate risk” countries.
