‘Wag atat! Palace says IATF yet to decide on booster vaccination for healthcare workers

Malacañang on Tuesday clarified that the recommendation giving Covid-19 vaccine booster shots to healthcare workers has yet to be approved.

“Lilinawin lang po natin, wala pa pang desisyon na magkaroon ng Covid-19 booster shots para sa mga healthcare workers,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in his virtual presser.

Roque said the country’s Vaccine Expert Panel merely recommended the use of booster jabs for the said sector.

“Meron pa lang pong rekomendasyon pa lang ang vaccine expert panel and this is still up for review,” according to him.

“Nag recommend lang po ang vaccine expert panel na bigyan ng booster shots ang ating healthcare workers, wala pa pong desisyon ang ating IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases),” he added.
