President Rodrigo Duterte has welcomed Vietnam as the new country coordinator of Asean-Republic of Korea (ROK) Dialogue Relations.
Vietnam officially assumed its new role from 2021-2024 last August.
Duterte also recognized Brunei Darussalam’s “excellent work” as the previous country coordinator.
“I congratulate Brunei Darussalam for its excellent work as previous country coordinator of ASEAN-ROK Dialogue Relations and welcome Viet Nam as the new country coordinator for 2021-2024,” he said during the 22nd Asean-Republic of Korea (ROK) Summit last Tuesday.
The President also assured the “full support” of the Philippines for further strengthening of Asean-ROK relations.
