By Prince Golez

There’s almost no limit to what you can do, learn and find online.

The internet has become an integral part of our day-to-day lives, and has opened doorways to new forms and ways of learning and socializing, especially during this time of quarantine.

Practically all internet users (99%) in the Philippines use the internet to check social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), results of the latest Pulse Asia survey showed.

The same poll found that 53 percent go online to “read, watch, listen to other things of interest like movies, recipes and celebrity news.”

Forty-one percent of the 2,400 respondents 18 years old and above said they check the internet for news regarding the government.

Those who access the web to read, watch and listen to the news regarding elections stood at 24 percent.

The rest of internet users shop online (22 percent), send/receive/read emails (20 percent), and take courses online (10 percent).

How has the internet helped you through this difficult time?
