Presidential aspirant Leni Robredo now has a megastar among her celebrity supporters.
Actress Sharon Cuneta has endorsed Vice President Robredo’s bid for the presidency in the 2022 elections.
Sharon’s hubby Senator Francis Pangilinan will be Robredo’s running mate in the upcoming polls. She posted a number of pro-Leni posts on Instagram shortly after Pangilinan’s VP bid was announced.
“May GOD be with you on this journey, Madam VP,” Sharon wrote on Instagram.
Sharon was unable to accompany her husband when he filed his VP candidacy at the Commission on Elections last Friday. The actress is currently visiting the United States.
Sharon, in an earlier Instagram video, expressed support for her husband in his latest political journey. She dropped hints that Pangilinan’s VP bid came as a surprise for the family.
Pangilinan was supposed to seek reelection in the 2022 elections but was nominated as VP bet by Robredo. He reportedly could not turn down Robredo’s request.
Pangilinan will run for vice president under the Liberal Party while Robredo opted to be an independent presidential bet.
