Noli De Castro leaves ABS-CBN to run for senator: ‘Tuloy-tuloy ang ating public service’

ABS-CBN broadcasting giant has lost one of its biggest stars to politics.

Veteran broadcaster Noli de Castro has announced he was leaving the Lopez-owned network but promised to continue public service. He made his farewell on the final episode of his radio program “Kabayan” on TeleRadyo.

The Politiko earlier reported that the former vice president is setting his sight to a Senate comeback in the 2022 elections. He is expected to join the senatorial slate of presidential tandem Isko Moreno and Dr. Willie Ong.

De Castro also thanked the network’s loyal listeners and viewers and expressed hope ABS-CBN will soon regain its franchise.
