Graduating nursing students could help the government boost its Covid-19 vaccination drive, President Rodrigo Duterte said Monday.
In his taped public address, Duterte stressed the need to ramp up vaccination efforts in various local government units to reach the country’s target of inoculating 50 million Filipinos by December.
“I’ve read or heard somewhere that itong mga nursing students na senior, I think they are being… they will be mobilized… para magtulong sa bakuna,” the President said.
“Puwede ito mga ano man ito, mga senior, but still students, I think,” he also said.
As of October 24, the Philippines has administered a total of 55,715,693 vaccine doses.
