Palace open to inclusion of NCR schools in pilot run of limited face-to-face classes: Pakikinggan sila

By Prince Golez

MalacaƱang said it is open to the recommendation of Metro Manila mayors to include at least one school per city in the pilot test of face-to-face classes amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The pilot implementation of face-to-face classes in the country will start on

November 15, according to the Department of Education.

“Hindi po natin kailan binabalewala ang panawagan at rekomendasyon ng mga Metro Manila mayors dahil sila naman po ang nagpapatupad ng mga polisiya ng IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases),” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a Laging Handa public briefing Friday.

“So, pakikinggan po sila,” added Roque, who is also the spokesperson for the government’s Covid-19 task force.

A total of 59 public schools in six regions, which are considered low-risk for Covid-19 transmission, will conduct limited face-to-face classes next month.
