The “pink” movement is not just about politics.
Presidential aspirant Leni Robredo has rallied her supporters known as kakampinks to spread kindness to others everyday. Pink isn’t just a color but a way of life, particularly helping others, the vice president said.
Robredo’s pink army started wearing pink every Wednesday since the veep declared her bid for the presidency in the 2022 elections. Her supporters launched motorcades, feeding programs, and other projects to promote her presidential bid.
Pero hindi kailangang magastos o magarbo,” she said.
While she appreciated the efforts of the kakampinks, Robredo reminded them about the simple acts of kindness they can do for others, from feeding the hungry, offering tutorial lessons, to just being a friend to other people.
She said as the country faces huge challenges, such pink movement can can contribute to reforming the country’s system and social structure.
Maraming, maraming salamat. Inaasahan ko kayo,” she said.
