Julian Ongpin and his girlfriend, Bree Jonson, made love before the 30-year-old artist was found dead inside the bathroom of their hostel room ibn La Union.

The 29-year-old son of bilyonaryo Bobby Ongpin stuck to his claim that Jonson committed suicide when he spoke to investigators from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Ongpin told NBI investigators in Baguio on October 1 that he left their room at the Flotsam and Jetsam Hostel in La Union after having sex because “he felt insecure about Bree’s past relationships.”

Based on the report, Ongpin claimed be was asked by Jonson to go back into their room after a few minutes outside but he declined.

Ongpin said he just noticed after some time that Jonson was not in their room. He checked the bathroom but it was locked from the inside.

The younger Ongpin said he next saw Jonson’s body hanging from the shower with a piece of garment, which he earlier told the police was his girlfriend’s bra strap.

Backing up Ongpin’s claim, the police said Jonson died on September 18 due to suicide. Her family, however, believes there was foul play involved.
