6 lawmakers join PCG Auxiliary

Six members of the House of Representatives have joined the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) Executive Squadron last Thursday.

Representatives Ronnie Ong (AP party-list), Manuel Jose Dalipe (Zamboanga City), Ria Christina Farinas (Ilocos Norte), Rudys Caesar Farinas I (Probinsyano Ako party-list), Sandro Gonzales (MARINO party-list) and Macnell Lusotan (MARINO party-list) were among the 11 new members of the Executive Squadron.

They were given the rank of Auxiliary Commodore.

PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Leopoldo Laroya led the donning and oath taking ceremonies of the new members held at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila.

Other new members are Usec. Earl Saavedra (Executive Director, Dangerous Drugs Board), Atty. Jabeth Sena Jepath Dacanay (Manager, Dacanay & Magracia Law Offices), Atty. Maria Rowena Buena-Hubilla (Director II, Franchising Office, MARINA), Atty. Herschel Magracia (Manager, Dacanay & Magracia Law Offices), and Rolando Dado (Executive Vice President, GENDIESEL Philippines, Inc.).

Meanwhile, Jose Echarri (Chief of Staff, Cong. Pantaleon Alvarez), Antonio Galias (Deputy Chief of Staff, Cong. Pantaleon Alvarez) and Board Member Rodolfo Christian Gerodias Farina III (Ilocos Norte) were appointed with the rank of Auxiliary Commander.

The newly-appointed PCGA members will form part of organization’s functions in promoting maritime safety, security, search and rescue, law enforcement and marine environmental protection.
