SAN RAFAEL, Bulacan — Bulakenyos of all walks of life eagerly welcomed Partido Reporma chairman and standard-bearer Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and running mate Vicente “Tito” Sotto III as they arrived in San Rafael, Bulacan on Saturday for another leg of their “Online Kumustahan” (OK) tour.
Along with Partido Reporma senatorial candidate Dr. Minguita Padilla, the Lacson-Sotto tandem unveiled their flagship Budget Reform Advocacy for Village Empowerment (BRAVE) platform and healthcare measures to the residents of the province often called “Land of the Heroes.”
The BRAVE platform, the veteran lawmakers said, gives a voice to communities and local governments to chart their own progress from their own suggestions and opinions.
Through these “OK” consultations across the countryside, the longtime public servants seek to learn the needs of the communities, so they can formulate solid plans to advance the nation once they win as president and vice president in the 2022 general elections.
They held their “Online Kumustahan ” at the Tambubong Elementary School, where parents of schoolchildren, residents and local leaders joined the discussion, which was live streamed to nine other satellite venues across the province.
Before the OK meeting, Lacson and Sotto also held a press conference at the 8 Waves Resort in Brgy. Ulingao, where they discussed their views not just on national issues but also on the province of Bulacan.
Lacson stressed that Filipinos should use their talents to help the nation economically, like Bulakenyos do with their vaunted local fireworks industry.
