Delaying tactic? Pharmally execs’ transfer to Pasay jail on hold as documents can’t be located

The transfer of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation executives Linconn Ong and Mohit Dargani to the Pasay City Jail have been put on hold as they have yet to locate the documents sought by the Senate blue ribbon committee.

Senate Sergeant-At-Arms retired Major General Rene Samonte said Saturday (November 27) that Dargani has not yet provided the exact location of the financial documents that Senate personnel have been asked to retrieve.

“Hindi pa sa ngayon, wala pa kasing binibigay si Mohit na exact location. Pinapa seguro ko na alam nya pupuntahan at kung ano uunahin kasi tatlo sinasabi, office, residence at warehouse,” Samonte said in a message to reporters.

The Senate blue ribbon committee ordered the transfer of Ong and Dargani from the Senate premises to the Pasay City Jail Friday (November 26) for supposedly being uncooperative in its probe about the government’s pandemic supply contracts.

Dargani, Pharmally’s corporate secretary and treasurer, appealed the motion and asked the committee chairman, Senator Richard Gordon, if he could physically search for the boxes containing the company’s financial documents.

Gordon granted Dargani’s appeal but said the transfer will push through if Senate personnel failed to find to the documents.
