Vice President Leni Robredo will lose the 2022 presidential race if her campaign continues to be divisive and exclusive to those who support her, a nephew of the late former senator Joker Arroyo said.
Ophthalmologist Jack Arroyo Jr. said the tactics of Robredo’s campaign team, which is led by former senator Bam Aquino, “defeats the purpose of the whole campaign objective of convincing persons” to vote for the Vice President.
“This is my message to the persons who are pushing for the present VP for President. Whoever is the campaign manager of this group must be cognizant of this fact, because if they choose their current path of divisiveness, their candidate at this very early stage of the campaign will have no chance at all,” Arroyo said in a Facebook post.
An independent director of SMC Global Power Holdings Corp., Arroyo said Robredo’s poor showing in voter preference surveys show the divisive strategies of her campaign are backfiring.
“Let us not be like the USA who have become been compartmentalized into tribes as espoused by the previous US President!” he said, referring to former US President Donald Trump.
