Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said inmates of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) will benefit from the three-day National Vaccination Days.
Guevarra said he was able to speak with National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19 head Sec. Carlito Galvez last Friday (Nov. 28) “for the vaccination of all vulnerable PDLs (persons deprived of liberty) in BuCor facilities all over the country.”
“Ever the compassionate man that he is, Sec. Galvez gave me his assurance that my request will be granted,” he said.
The government has set the National Vaccination Days on Nov. 29, 30, and Dec. 1.
The BuCor has already vaccinated 35,111 inmates as of Nov. 19.
