Vice President Leni Robredo is set to release on Wednesday, November 3, her blueprint on how Filipinos can survive the COVID-19 pandemic.

The proposed rescue plan includes inputs from Robredo’s consultations from health experts, economists, medical professionals, workers, and other Filipinos affected by the pandemic. The presidential aspirant talked about her planned COVID-19 recovery strategy in a latest video message on Facebook.

Filipinos continue to live under various levels of lockdown since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country last year. Authorities have started to ease the movement restrictions in Metro Manila and some parts of the country in an effort to revive the sluggish economy and spur employment.

In the same Facebook post, Robredo appealed to her supporters, known as kakampinks, to reach out to the victims of the pandemic especially those who lost their loved ones and jobs, and spread the word about the COVID action plan. She said the COVID response initiatives are not just empty promises but programs already proven effective.

Napatunayan na natin ang kayang gawin ng malinis at maayos na pamamahala,” said Robredo, who initiated programs such as free COVID testing and medical consultation and vaccination drive.

Robredo, who is seeking the presidency as an independent candidate, traveled to her home region of Bicol last week. The veep earlier said pink is not just a political color but a way of life, particularly in spreading love and kindness across the country

Robredo previously criticized the Duterte administration for its poor COVID-19 response and called for intensified testing, tracing, and vaccination efforts.
