The government should allow in-person attendance of basketball games as long as the spectators are fully vaccinated after several months of entry restrictions to stadiums.
Senator Sonny Angara, a basketball aficionado, issued the comment as more people get vaccinated and the government further eased movement curbs in the country.
“Yes to live audience basketball games for the fully vaccinated! 🏀,” he said on Facebook.
“Sa unti-unting pag-angat ng ating vaccination rate, umaasa tayong unti-unti rin manunumbalik ang industriya ng sports and entertainment,” he added.
Angara included his photo hugging his kid on the sidelines of a basketball game. The photo included the message with the hashtags #FlashbackFriday #GetVaccinated #AlagangAngara.
The government has started to ease movement restrictions in areas with low coronavirus cases. Metro Mania has already been downgraded to Alert level 2 amid the drop in COVID infections.
