President Rodrigo Duterte said he’s not impressed by former senator and presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr., calling him a “weak leader” during a recent meeting with local leaders in Oriental Mindoro.
Duterte made the comment when asked about a possible alliance between Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan (PDDS) and Lakas-CMD.
“I cannot because nandiyan si Marcos eh. Hindi ako bilib sa kanya. He’s really a weak leader,” said Duterte, who is running for senator under PDDS.
His daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Caprio is pursuing the vice presidency under Lakas-CMD. She’s the running mate of Marcos Jr. in next year’s presidential election.
“Hindi ako naninira ng tao, talagang weak ‘yan kasi spoiled child, only son. He can talk. He delivers English articulate. Nag-aral kasi kung saan-saan sa labas. Pero kung sabihin mo na may crisis, ganoon?” according to the President.
“He is a weak leader at saka may bagahe siya. Iyan ‘yang sinasabi ko sa inyo, totoo ‘yan. I do not foist lies. Masisira ka. Pero bantay ka diyan, magkamali ang Pilipinas, na,” he added.
Earlier, Duterte accused a male presidential bet, whom he also called a “weak leader” of using illegal drugs, particularly cocaine.
