The 2022 elections have strained the relations between the Sotto and the Pangilinan families.

Senate President Tito Sotto admitted that while he is not bothered by Senator Francis Pangilinan’s decision to run against him in the vice presidential race, his wife Helen Gamboa and children have a different take on the matter.

Sotto is married to actress Helen Gamboa, sister of Sharon Cuneta’s mother Elaine. Pangilinan is the hubby of the megastar.

“Well, to each his own,” Sotto told ANC host Karen Davila on her program Tuesday when asked about his view on competing against Pangilinan for the vice presidency.

“That question would better be asked my wife and my children. They have a different perspective as far as I’m concerned,” he added.
