By Prince Golez

The National Task Force (NTF) Against Covid-19 and the National Vaccination Operations Center have allowed local government units (LGUs) to extend the operations of the massive vaccination drive dubbed “Bayanihan Bakunahan” until December 3.

Several LGUs requested for an extension due to large number of vaccine recipients flocking in vaccination sites, the advisory signed by Presidential Adviser for Covid-19 Response Vivencio Dizon, NTF Against Covid-19 Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. and Health Secretary Francisco Duque III read.

Advisory No. 112 said this will also sustain the momentum of the operations of the three-day national vaccination day from November 29 to December 1.

“All the LGUs are requested to inform the Center for Health Development on the willingness to extend the Bayanihan, Bakunahan National Covid-19 Vaccination Days until December 3, 2021 by December 2, 2021, 12 noon,” the document stated.

It likewise directed Regional Vaccination Operations Centers to facilitate augmentation of resources and provisions of technical support, and ensure allocation and distribution of Covid-19 vaccines and ancillaries to the LGUs who will be extending until Friday.
