Millions vaccinated during ‘Bayanihan, Bakunahan’ drive a ‘huge achievement’ in fight vs. Covid-19 – Duterte

The number of Filipinos vaccinated during the national vaccination drive was a “huge achievement” in the country’s fight against Covid-19, President Rodrigo Duterte said Monday night.

Duterte said the government administered a total of 10.2 million doses from November 29 to December 3.

“I’d like to thank the doctors, the volunteers and all… of course, (Health) Secretary (Francisco) Duque (III) and (National Task Force Against Covid-19 chief implementer) Secretary (Carlito) Galvez, I thank you in behalf of the Filipino people,” he said during his taped public address.

The Chief Executive also hoped that the second Bayanihan, Bakunahan drive from December 15 to 17 “would have the same success.”

Earlier, Malacañang said the second wave of the vaccination drive aims to meet the government’s goal of fully vaccinating 54 million people by the end of the year.
