Let’s be fair, Malacañang said in reaction to fatal shooting of four soldiers by police officers in Jolo, Sulu Monday.
In a virtual presser Tuesday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is already investigating this particular matter.
“Antayin muna natin ang imbestigasyon. Pareho ang kapulisan at Hukbong Sandatahan ay humingi na ng tulong sa NBI para imbestigahan ng maintindihan natin kung ano talaga ang nangyari,” according to Roque.
“Hotspot po talaga ang Jolo ngayon. Patuloy ang aktibidades ng mga terrorista diyan. Tingin ko po medyo nag-iingat at medyo mataas ang tensyon sa area na yan so I will not make any conclusion sa ngayon hanggat hindi natatapos ang imbestigasyon ng NBI,” he added.
Yesterday, four Army intelligence personnel, including two officers, were killed after the policemen fired at them for still unexplained reasons.
