Mazda Philippines has confirmed that no locally available Mazda3 or CX-30 vehicles are included in a recent recall plaguing the U.S.
A few days ago, Mazda USA confirmed to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) two separate recalls affecting a total of 36,134 vehicles.
12,097 CX-30 compact crossovers over there are being recalled there for an incorrectly attached fuel evaporative hose, while 7,804 Mazda3 and 16,233 CX-30 have issues with their brake caliper mounting bolts.
In both cases, the recalls are limited to CX-30 and Mazda3 vehicles manufactured at Mazda Motor Manufacturing in Salamanca. Affected markets are the U.S.A, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, Ecuardo, Colombia, and Uruguay.
In a statement, Steven Tan, President of Mazda Philippines confirmed that no locally available Mazda3 or CX-30 are part of the recall given the source of these units is Japan.
