Thirteen employees of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) tested positive for coronavirus disease, causing physical work at its office to be suspended indefinitely.
In a press statement Saturday, PCOO Undersecretary for Administration and Legal Affairs Atty. Marvin Gatpayat instructed PCOO employees to work from home for the time being.
“As a precautionary measure, work at the New Executive Building (NEB) is suspended until further notice. Shuttle service shall also be suspended,” said Gatpayat.
“Offices are hereby directed to adopt work-from-home arrangement for the duration of the suspension,” he added.
The NEB houses the PCOO, the Office of the Presidential Spokesperson, and the Press Briefing Room.
