President Duterte will be physically present at Batasan Pambansa to deliver his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA), Malacañang announced Monday.
“I can confirm for the first time that the President will be physically present in Batasan pagdating ng SONA sa July 27. Naka schedule ang rehearsal at patuloy ang preparasyon,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said during his virtual presser.
Roque added that only 50 lawmakers will be allowed inside Batasan to attend Duterte’s annual address to the nation.
“I can confirm na sa panig ng mga mambabatas 50 lang ang suma total. Hindi ko alam kung makakasama ang ilang miyembro ng Gabinete. Sana po ilan sa amin makasama,” according to him.
Roque also urged people who are planning to hold protest actions next week to consider protesting online to reduce chances of catching the coronavirus disease.
