Locsin curses netizen over ‘bahag ang buntot’ comment in West Philippine Sea spat with China

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. had enough of the bashing over the government’s alleged cowardly stance on the territorial spat with China.

Locsin used cursed words to hit back at a netizen who questioned his brave stance in asserting the country’s claim to Sabah but has a supposed weak position on the West Philippine Sea conflict with China.

“Putangina mo,” Locsin, a former lawmaker and press secretary, tweeted Thursday, July 30. The tweet has been deleted by the Cabinet secretary, known for his vulgar comments.

Locsin was responding to a @tonyabella’s tweet: “Ang tapang mo Teddy pero bahag ang buntot pagdating sa WPS.”

The netizen has criticized Locsin after defending his pronouncement that Sabah belongs to the Philippines, not Malaysia.

“You summoned our ambassador for a historically factual statement I made: that Malaysia tried to derail the Arbitral Award. This was reported to us by our diplomats on the scene and our German lawyer. None may share our Hague victory who worked against it,” Locsin said.

Earlier, Locsin triggered a diplomatic storm after tweeting that Sabah is not located in Malaysia. His comment prompted the Malaysian Foreign Minister to summon the Philippine envoy to explain, insisting Sabah “is and will always be part of Malaysia.”

“Sabah is not in Malaysia if you want to have anything to do with the Philippines,” Locsin earlier tweeted.
