Manila closes due to COVID-19 infection

Another Manila regional trial court (RTC) has been temporarily closed after one of its employees got infected with the COVID-19 virus, the Supreme Court (SC) said on Monday (Sept. 7).

The SC Public Information Office (SCPIO) said in its latest Twitter post that “Manila RTC Branch 36 physically closed from September 4 to 9, 2020.”

“This comes after a court personnel tests positive of COVID19,” the SCPIO explained.

“They may be reached through their official hotlines and email addresses,” it advised the public.

Aside from the Branch 36, the SC previously said that Manila RTC Branch 54 has been ordered temporarily closed from Sept. 3 to 11 after one of its staff tested positive for COVID-19.
