No end in sight: House reports 2 new Covid-19 cases

The House of Representatives on Sunday reported two new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total to 66.

“Two (2) employees have tested positive for Covid-19,” according to an advisory from House Secretary General Jose Luis Montales.

“The first is from the Finance Department. She last reported for work on September 1, and fell ill after attending to her son whom we reported earlier as a confirmed case,” he said.

“The second is from the Committee on Legislative Franchises who last reported for work on August 10,” Montales added.

On Saturday, 1-Pacman party-list Rep. Eric Pineda revealed that he tested positive for the new coronavirus.

He made the announcement hours after Montales reported the 63rd and 64th Covid-19 cases in the House.
