With non-release of SALNs, Palace says Duterte ‘not keeping anything’

President Rodrigo Duterte is not hiding anything from the public despite non-release of his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) for 2018 and 2019, according to Malacañang.

While he was “sure” that Duterte filed his SALNs, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said “whether or not it will be made public is outside my office’s jurisdiction.”

Roque also said he would get clarification from the Office of the Executive Secretary.

“I don’t think the President is keeping anything from the public.

“The fact is he’s the only branch of government that has, in fact, issued Executive Order No. (EO) 1 on transparency and that is FOI (Freedom of Information) in the executive branch of the government. If you think it’s not being made available to you, I enjoin you to resort to the EO 1 in seeking the document you want,” he added.
