President Rodrigo Duterte called for peaceful and safe observance of Undas 2020.
“I expect a peaceful celebration of the All Saints’ Day and the All Souls’ Day,” Duterte said in a taped address aired Tuesday.
He also reminded everyone to follow safety protocols during the period of Undas.
“Naka-fix na ‘yan. No liquor, no deadly instruments lalo na ang baril, unless you are a military or a police,” according to him.
The government had ordered the closure of all cemeteries, memorial parks, and columbariums nationwide from October 29 to November 4 to prevent the transmission of coronavirus disease.
Cemeteries are only allowed a maximum venue capacity of 30 percent from September 17 to November 15.
